Ophcrack is a free Windows password cracker based on rainbow tables. It is a very efficient implementation of rainbow tables done by the inventors of the method. It comes with a Graphical User Interface and runs on multiple platforms.
It cracks the password based on LM and NTLM hashes, and it runs on many platforms like linux, windows etc.
The rainbow tables for Windows XP, vista, 7 etc are available for free.
This is very convenient form to crack user password.
It takes, well, much time, but gives impressive results.
